![]() If we wanted wifi, we had to walk to the center of the building (by the entrance) there, the wifi worked very well. The downside is there is no wifi signal at this far end. The upside is we only had to share one wall with another room as we were the end unit. We were assigned to the Sunset motel, and our room was at the far end. Our family of 3 stayed at one of the lodge rooms for 2 nights in June. Avoid this place unless you want to spend top dollar sleeping on a 30 year old mattress without the distraction of TV and a temperature controlled environment to lull you to sleep.… again, acting like we put them out somehow. The older blonde woman was condescending and accusatory and told my mom they would charge her for both days. To add insult to (literal) injury, my mom asked to check out the next day because her dog was sick and my dad was overwhelmed trying to handle the situation by himself. ![]() I could feel the springs digging into me no matter which position I tried to sleep in. All of these things could be forgiven if their mattresses weren't so God awful. I'll admit my mom and I didn't research this place before we booked two nights, but we also weren't warned that the Wi-Fi was spotty, the rooms had no a/c or TV, the screen doors don't lock, and the showers were lukewarm at best. the older blonde woman at the front desk acted like we were putting her out by asking if the lodge had any vacancies. They charged my mom a little over $250 per night for a dark, dank room in the "Sunrise unit." We were walk-ins, no reservation. …Įvidently, the Bryce Canyon Lodge has disabled Google reviews, so here I am. While we did have some minor issues, we still enjoyed our stay and would come back the next time we come to Bryce. We had a supreme pizza and really enjoyed it so go there instead. The menu is basic, and I don’t think you can make custom requests (likely because they want to serve as fast as possible). For the second night there is a separate building next to the lodge that serves pizza. ![]() They are missing an opportunity as it looked like they could open up a separate coffee (or ice cream) place and we definitely would of went there. We would recommend the breakfast buffet as the number of items is pretty impressive and we went there twice. The food and service were just ok, and at the usual high prices so you may be better driving outside the park as there are some places right outside the entrance station. There is only one restaurant in the lodge, so we went there for one dinner. The lodge itself is beautiful and if you have time, go inside the auditorium and there is a display of pictures throughout the years and interesting to see how people enjoyed the park years ago. Thankfully I was able to get one or two bars (I’m on Verizon) and was able to use that. They are making plenty of money and could invest in something better. I know it’s in a remote area and I’m not expecting to download movies, but that’s not acceptable as you can’t connect to even do basic tasks like sending a text message. For us, we couldn’t even connect after many attempts for two days. On the sheet when you check in, it even says connections are not guaranteed and then in bold capital letters, speeds will be slow. One other minor complaint, the wireless is a joke. So, we had to waste towels to clean up the mess each day. While it’s handicapped friendly, it’s still a terrible design because a large amount of water goes past the first drain and then the entire bathroom is soaked. Not sure if all of the rooms are this way, but similar to the lodge at Mammoth Cave, the shower doesn’t have a side wall to climb over and is just on a slight slant and there are two drains, one in the shower, and one in front of the toilet. No issue with parking near the unit as well. The room itself was comfortable and there is a small outside deck as well. We spent two nights at the sunset point rooms and not at the lodge itself.
